Bio: I've always had a passion for dance and music, in fact I started dancing even before I could walk and as soon I was old enough, I began taking Ballet lessons. By the time I was in college, Majoring in Psychology I realized I needed to choose a Minor, so Dance was the obvious choice for me. It was my modern dance teacher who first introduced me to Pilates and I instantly loved how it made my body feel and how it improved my form for dance. It wasn't until years later when I began to experience chronic low back pain that I started practicing Pilates regularly and my back pain went away! I realized that I wanted to share this amazing body conditioning program with others so they too could experience the many benefits of practicing Pilates regularly. I found my passion!
I decided to complete my Pilates training with PhysicalMind Institute and became a Certified Pilates Instructor in September 2003. I opened my first studio in West Linn in 2005 and now currently have a space in Lake Oswego. Over the years I've had the pleasure to work with a diverse clientele, including breast cancer survivors, clients with Parkinson's Disease, clients in rehabilitation from an injury, athletes and many over the age of 70. I enjoy what I do and genuinely care about helping people reach their fitness goals. Deciding to get certified in Booty Barre was a natural progression for me since it combines, Pilates, Dance, Yoga and Calisthenics in an hour of high energy cardio. I actually was the first Booty Barre Instructor in the state of Oregon, which I am very proud of! I love teaching Booty Barre and wanted to reach out and bring this amazing workout to more people in the area and that's what brought me to Diva Den. I called Kristin, we met and hit it off right away! I love the energy and strength of all the sexy, fun and fit women here. I'm so excited to be a part of such an amazing team and I know I'm going to develop long lasting friendships. Let's get fit together!
