HoopFusion!
Hoop Fitness Fusion is a revolutionary new form of exercise! Using hand-crafted
hoops which are larger and weighted allows the hoop to move and maneuver around
an adult body. It is a fun alternative for cardio and core strengthening. Also is a very
meditative motion and actually massages the torso and other body parts with each
rotation. This class will boost cardiovascular endurance, build core strength and
confidence, strengthens balance and coordination and promotes creativity.
Beginner Series-Sundays 7:30pm
Learn how to Hoop Dance! We begin our hoop journey by selecting your FIRST hoop! These hoops are all hand-made with love in various weights, sizes and styles. Together, we will find the perfect hoop for your body type! We begin working on maintaining the rhythm of the Hoop and developing coordination to be able to move, walk and step to the beat of music. Taking your Hoop home to Practice is HIGHLY recommended! Eventually we will be going through low impact aerobic and yoga movements with with hoop! This will be a great workout that keeps you smiling!
Intermediate/Advanced Series- Saturdays 1pm
This series is geared for individuals who have some experience with the hoop, whether its only few months, or few years, this will be a great workout for everyone! We will begin each class with a 10 minute aerobic warm-up! Then picking up our hoops, we begin learning Hoop Aerobics and Hoop Yoga. Also we will be getting playful inside the hoop: sliding, flirty gestures, jumps, squats, and lunges! Progressing to exciting partner tricks and incorporating floor work, explaining and the challenges of transiting between moves, and tips on developing flow.
Cost:
Beginners: $60 per 4 week session (total of 4 classes, one class per week), includes basic hoop. More elaborate hoops available for a small additional fee.
