Megan grew up dancing at High Step Dance Academy, a local studio in her hometown, Longview, Wash. There she studied multiple dance formats including jazz, tap, lyrical and hip-hop under the direction of Sondra St. John. In high school she lead the hip hop program at the High Step, instructing three competitive hip hop teams to first place victories for several years.

After graduating from high school, Megan attended the University of Portland (U.P.), receiving a B.S. in Organizational Communications. In 2006, she lead the U.P. Dance team, in addition to teaching on-campus fitness and hip hop classes at the recreation facility.

She continued to expand her dance passion in Portland and became a hip hop, jazz and fitness instructor at Vega Dance+Lab and performed for the studio’s in-house hip hop crew, Sauce – lead by Evie Graham. She was a member of The Detail, a hip hop company directed by Durante Lambert and dancer for the Jammin’ 95.5 Jam Squad, the former NBA Portland Trailblazer hip hop team.

In 2007, Megan moved to Chicago and married her love of dance and fitness at Crunch, an industry leading group fitness facility. There she instructed various classes including: Cardio Hip Hop, Cardio Go-Go, Broadway Baby, Stiletto Strength, Cardio Striptease, Rock Bottom and Anti-Gravity Yoga. She led the Chicago “Dance Your Ass Off” competition in partnership with the Oxygen Network and served as a master instructor; leading classes for SELF Magazine’s, “Workout in the Park” and Women’s Health Magazine’s, “Are You Game? “events. She also danced and choreographed for the M.I.S.L (men’s indoor soccer league) as a Storm Chaser for the Chicago Storm.

Megan recently released her first fitness DVD entitled, Dance Off The Inches: Cardio Striptease that is available for purchase in stores nationwide. She is currently dancing for The Portland Trailblazers as a Blazer Dancer and is thrilled to be a member of the Diva Team!
